IMPORTANT CONSUMER ALERT !!!
Did
you know that not all "No-Recovery, No-Fee" fee arrangements
are the same? These types of fee arrangements can vary from
attorney to attorney. Here are some very important questions
you should ask before you select an attorney. The answers will
determine how much goes into your pocket at the end of the case.
Ask the
attorney what costs will be charged if there is a recovery.
Some charge for things like investigator's time, paralegal time,
or mileage when the attorney visits you or your doctor. Others
will not charge for these expenses. Ask if they are going to
charge for out of pocket costs if there is no recovery. Some
will charge for costs like long distance telephone calls, costs
of medical records and conferences with your doctor, even if
there is no recovery. Others will not charge you any costs or
attorney fees if there is no recovery when the case is finished.
Ask if the
attorney has a real office in Brevard County, or just a telephone
number (this is especially important if they charge for mileage).
Don't let the attorney tell you it's not important for them
to be easily accessible to you or the courthouse.
Your case
is very important to you. Making the right choice of attorney
may be the difference between success and failure. You owe it
to yourself to be informed.
